EVENT: AMA Superbike/Supermoto This year's AMA Superbike and AMA Supermoto races were held at Road America on June 1-4. With action on both the 4-mile road course and Briggs & Stratton Motorplex it's hard for a photographer to know exactly which track to focus on, so I tried to take pictures of both. However, due to my camera limitations at the time it was easier for me to get shots of the Supermoto event since I could be closer to the track. Besides, the Supermoto race is by far a more exciting event as the Superbike race at RA often gets strung out after 4 or 5 laps. The Supermoto bikes use a combination of the karting track and a dirt section for a unique and challenging course. This year Motocross and Indy Car veteran Jeff Ward made use of his experience on pavement and dirt to dominate the weekend.
