PROJECT: Half page ad for Super Kart Illustrated

National Kart Supply is the North American importer of the HAASE chassis line.  This ad, my first magazine ad design, was for the annual chassis guide issue of Super Kart Illustrated. 

The idea behind the ad was to advertise HAASE as the chassis that will give you the edge you are looking for over the competition, hence the headline “you + HAASE = unfair advantage.”  I used a transparent fade over the background photo to enhance the legibility of the body copy.  By orientating the photo of the kart at an angle it makes the ad feel more dynamic.  The purple and yellow bar at the bottom gave the composition visual weight that helped tie it together.
