So just who the heck is this M^2 guy? Well, my name is Michael Mueller, a student and aspiring graphic designer from Plymouth, Wisconsin. After graduating from Plymouth High School I moved to the big city to study mechanical engineering at the Milwaukee School of Engineering. Two years later and a bunch of money poorer I was unhappy with what I was doing and decided to make a big change. Having always had an interest in the visual aesthetics of the world and a fascination with advertising I decided to pursue schooling in graphic design. So the small town boy who hadn’t taken an art class since sophomore year in high school was off to study art at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. Like I said, big change…but damn was it worth it
After a year of foundations art classes I applied for the graphic design program. The big risk of starting my life over paid off when I was accepted to the program. Currently I’m entering my second year as a graphic design major with a minor in advertising at UWM. So far as a student designer I’ve been honored to have my work exhibited in The Eisner American Museum of Advertising & Design, as well as to receive a Frederick R. Layton Scholarship award from UWM.
When you find something you are passionate about, you are willing to work harder and put your entire self into whatever your passion is. I’m truly passionate about design. I enjoy the challenge of trying to create something new and interesting. I like being able to communicate thoughts, feelings, and emotions to people through visual means. Design is powerful; design can change the world we live in. My goal is to be an influential member of the design community, someone whose work is sought after by clients and respected by peers.
My other passion is racing, has been for as long as I can remember. I’ve been around auto racing since I was born, heck my mom and dad were in the pits at a racetrack just hours before I joined this world. Guess I heard the noise and wanted to see what was going on. I’ve been racing since I was 12 years old and don’t plan on stopping anytime soon. There is nothing quite like pushing the limit on the racetrack. As you can see from much of this website I try to combine both my passion for design and racing whenever possible. It is my hope that I can continue to enjoy both for the rest of my life. |
